UTI Network and Systems team successfully implementes the new Admission control system CPPM in New Campus student housing.

Google reported that between January 15 and January 21, 2014, a bug was discovered that might affect the inbox of some users. As a result some of your good messages may be unintentionally located in your trash or spam folders.
You are kindly advised to check your spam and trash folders and move back these messages to the right folders, by at most February 14, 2014 (messages are permanently deleted 30 days after they are placed in the Trash)

The new version of Argos will be available starting February 16th, 2014 (Argos is the reporting tool currently used by staff to report on data from Banner). The Banner team, in coordination with the HR training office, have been providing training on the new features of Argos, since last October.
In accordance to audit recommendations and to comply with Banner authorization standards, access to Banner data from Argos will be granted through Banner views only. No access will be granted directly to the Banner database. You are requested to review and modify your reports for compliance before February 13th, 2014. Non compliant reports will not run
using the new Argos setup.

Google has rolled out a new version of the Google bar for
Google Apps Users. With this new design, it is simpler and more
consistent with Android & Chrome OS. It includes notifications, a Google_
share Box (if Google+ is enable), and a new App Launcher with links to other
Google products. “Google Apps users will have easy access to all the
Google Enterprise products they care about. Google services that are not
enabled will not be shown in App Launcher. Marketplace apps will be
listed under the More section the App Launcher.” Reference Google Inc.
Network maintenance, in Tahrir campus on Friday2013-11-13
To enhance the network services in Tahrir Campus, University Technology Infrastructure (UTI) is planning a network upgrade in Tahrir Campus only, on Friday, November 15th, 2013 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. During that time there will be occasional cutoffs for all network functions and services accessed from Tahrir Campus including telephony, server access, wireless, and Internet.
Services in New Cairo Campus are expected to operate normally.

Maintenance in SSE on Friday, November 12013-10-28
Electrical modifications in the School of Sciences and Engineering, AUCNew Cairo, will take place on Friday, November 1, 2013, from 9 am to 5 pm.
These modifications are being made to place all networking devices on new, more stable power connections.
Please note that during maintenance (from 9 am to 5 pm), network, WiFi, telephones, Internet, email, Banner, SAP, Blackboard and all AUC systems, including systems available in the SSE building, will not be accessible from within the SSE building. Other buildings will be functioning normally.
